Of Loving Amazing Japanese Dramas...

...that might make you question your sexuality (for a lil' while)

I Love HANAZAKARI NO KIMITACHI E: IKEMEN PARADISE!!!
(Translated: For You in Full Bloom: Hottie Paradise!)

Yeah. I changed my nick on MSN to: "Hooked on Hottie Paradise.

Now, if you don't tell anyone what Hottie Paradise is, nearly everyone will assume its porn. And then they'll act disgusted and shocked that someone they know is openly admitting that he enjoys porn. I love people who react this way. Because, the next minute I can ask them if they want to watch it too, and create this declicious awkward moment.

Anyways. The drama's your over the top, hilarious romantic comedy with really hot looking guys. I mean, these guys are so hot, that admitting you like the series is a secret shame (if you are a non-homosexual guy)

The cast is loveable. Sure, I detest the male lead (though he is hot!!) the supposed female lead (the actual female lead is dressed like a guy, hence 'supposed') is ugly as hell. Then again, except these two, everyone is a adorable.

Aisha Aki Ataka, I thank you, for making my vacations a little less boring. And for giving me all those stomach cramps from laughing my ass off.

Oscar M. Himejima PWNZ all!
(Except Nakatsu! He Pwnz even Oscar!!)
(I am such a fan-girl.... AND I LOVE IT!! )

Of Cash and Nabeel

What is with people and weird ass slogans? I mean fine, "Don't Jallus" is so done to death.

But someone, anyone, please tell me why do people try to decorate their cycles, motorbikes, rickshaws, cars, and/or buses with weird slogans. I mean urdu poetry is fine. But do not. I repeat. Do not pretend to be English literate, when you most certainly aren't.

Case in point: The Bike of an average male

I mean. Look at the clever quotation. "Any Time Cash" What is he even trying to imply?

And as luck would have it. Parked right next to the motorbike was Nabeel's car. Don't ask me who Nabeel is. I don't know. He advertises his name on the car...

And please be smart and put two and two together. Any Time Cash, Only Nabeel.

Whatever

I don't even remember the point of this post anymore.

Of Over the Top Animated Series

I LOVE THE SERIES!

*squeals like a little girl*

Pity they don't have Kamina in the picture. (No my desi people, not kameena)

The artwork, the music, the storyline (and the more then sanity's sake useage of "Spiral") It still rocks. Now I only need to find a way to play the last 4 epis without blowing up my computer.

YAY

Of Sexy Juice Adverts.

People say, Sex Sells. I agree. But this is just ridiculous. Look at the picture. Do you not agree that there is something horribly wrong with it? She's rubbing a juice box on his cheek and both look like they are moaning.

There, another product ruined by mass media.

Of Delicious Throat Drops

Look at them. 4 beautiful sweets.

But wait, they aren't just any sweets. These are Nodoame, from JAPAN! My friend gave them to me. And I just have to talk about them.

(This is another old photo)

Funny thing is, when I got them, I had a sore throat. Damn, they are some of the most effective throat drops I've come across. Not to mention they don't taste bad. Actually they taste great.

Aisha, if you are reading this (which you will be at some point) Can I get some more please?

Of Rejection and Renewed Friendship

I was going through my old pictures, and I came across these pictures I took during the last days of work, before the school closed down for summer vacations. And as you know, those days are pretty boring on anyone who's not a student (as students get to stay home)

So, as I was saying, these pictures were taken out of pure boredom. And to satisfy all the Curious Joe's and Jane's out there, I have an entire year and a half's worth of pictures saved. Which I still need to sort out.

As luck would have it, The following pictures turned into a touching and moving story about love, rejection, and renewed friendship. Of course I'm bullshitting! I just made this to pass the time.

Enjoy.

The Trials of Bloopkin the Ugly Monster.

Once upon a time there was an ugly monster called Bloopkin. Now, to make you feel sorry for him (yes, we know it was a him) I'll tell you that his parents died in a donkey-cart crash while escaping his birth village which was being ruled by an evil landlord with big big moustaches (kinda like the Sunny Brothers' - refer to last post)

He had a traumatic childhood, but you don't need to know more about it. It was bad. That is all.

He suffered till he reached his teens, cause everyone knows, that's when the real emotional trauma begins.

Now he was able to work and earn a living for his parents... wait they died... sorry, I meant, earn a living for himself.

As you can see. The first day was horrible for poor Bloopkin. His co-workers made fun of him. They stuck pencils in his head and made him look like the devil himself.

Needless to say, Bloopkin was shattered. He was bullied around like a piece of meat.

Bloopkin vowed when he went home that day, that he will never ever come to work again. He'll run away and hide in a cave. But suddenly, his parents' ghosts appeared in front of him

Bloopkin's Mom: "Work hard, you must!"
Bloopkin's Dad: "Become famous, you will!"
Bloopkin's Mom: "Proud us make will you!"
Bloopkin's Dad: "Listen to your mother, you shall!"
Bloopkin's Mom: "Off to party with Obi-Wan and Yoda... we are!"

And they vanish!

So. With a new resolve Bloopkin wracks his brain to find a solution to his bullying problem. But to no avail.

The next day, he goes to work again, with a firm resolve to make new friends. But, just like yesterday, people bullied him and during lunch, everyone ignored him. One of his colleagues was celebrating his birthday, and everyone except Bloopkin was given cake. Bloopkin ka dil toot gaya.

After the party, the birthday guy felt sorry for bloopkin and called him over to have a little talk with him.

Birthday Guy: "The reason why everyone picks on you might be because of how you look. Maybe if you tried to change the way you look people will like you better.

So Bloopkin took the advice to heart and did his best to change his appearance.

Bloopkin tried a new look but, when he went to work...

People still laughed at him, and avoided him. This made him cry more. But he was determined to win the approval of his colleagues.

After a number of trial and errors, Bloopkin finally felt like this was the look that would win him all the friends he would ever want.

And the amazing thing is, it did! People started talking to him, and didn't hide from him anymore. Bloopkin was happy. But still, there was an emptiness in his heart. He had no social life. His life revolved around work.

He was confident that one day things will change, and everyone in the office started noticing a change in Bloopkin's personality. Soon, Bloopkin didn't dress fancy anymore, but his confidence never wavered. And his friends stood by his side.

And finally the day came when Bloopkin was invited to his first party ever. And party he did. He made even more friends and even got a few girl's phone numbers.

And so. Bloopkin finally became a known and respected member in his workplace. No one ever called him ugly..... well except his parents who frequently came to his room in the middle of the night with Yoda and gave him confusing bits of advice. Like don't drink toilet water, or bun-kebabs lead to constipation

Of Convulsions and Brotherhood

Convulsion (n): A severe, often violent involuntary contraction of the muscles. Convulsions may be caused by high fevers or poisoning and often accompany such diseases such as epilepsy.

That is the generic definition of a convulsion. Then someone, please tell me: What on God's green Earth would possess you name your product "Convulsion You"??

You've all heard of the "Genie in the bottle" (not the song, sheesh) Well then, this is the "Death-Threat in a Lollypop"
Just look at the cute kid. Look at his eyes. Are they not the eyes of a serial killer? one who kills people by making them convulse. I wonder what their televised advert would be?

Announcer: Kids, are you tired of the boring old lollypops? Are your Chupa-Chups letting you down? * shows two blonde, blue-eyed kids nodding in agreement and making faces after licking their old lollypops *
Announcer: Have no fear, Convulsion You is Here!! * shows kids faces contorted in confusion *
Announcer: Convulsion You, the brand new lollypop from the makers of epilepsy, poisoning, alkalosis, diabetes, oxygen insufficiency, and brain injuries. It's gonna make your summers WILD! Have one today, and feel the bliss of violently jerking around without any control whatsoever * Kids faces light up. *
* Kids are handed a lollypop each. *
* Kids suck on them and develop convulsions. *
Announcer: Convulsion You! Get your Shake on!
Kids: Thanks Convulsion you!! * Kids suck on lollypops again *

--End Commerical--

Another thing. Have you ever come across people who look like their products? I mean, have you seen a Harland David Sanders who looks like a Crispy Broasted chunk of chicken? or a Dick McDonald looking like a Cheeseburger? No. Its impossible and really really stupid to think that such people can exist. But they do! Look:

Mr. Sunny here, looks like an Imli however you look at it! Okay, so either an overgrown imli or a really scary one with big big moustache. Scary. Don't you agree?

Of Shock and Betrayal

Today, I went to a second-hand bookshop. See, I have this thing, where I start obsessing about books I desperately want to read, but Murphy beats me to it - Murphy being of the "Murphy's Law" fame. I mean, the books I like, are so hard to find its not even funny.

Case #1: Bourne Identity - Robert Ludlum.
I saw the movie, and I heard from a friend that the book is so totally awesome. So, I went on Amazon, read the review, and fell in love with Jason Bourne. Now I kept trying to find the book but to no avail. I took the phone numbers of every major bookstore in my city, and I kept calling them and running to from one bookstore to the other for well over a month just to get that book. I finally got it. Man! It was So Definitely Worth the effort

Case #2: Shogun - James Clavell
Same story here. This time, I had the numbers so i started calling up well in advance.

Case #3.... ENOUGH! No more cases. you get the point. Fact is, today I was betrayed. by my somewhat favourite childhood author: Roald Dahl.

Roald Dahl published an adult book? I never knew that! So I went home and Wikipedia-ed the title. The storyline shocked me. Uncle Oswald discovers the world's most powerful aphrodisiac and with the help of a woman, he seduces all the famous figures in history to give their sperm to him, which Uncle Oswald later sold to women looking to be impregnated by the said celebrities. His victims included: Pablo Picasso, Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, H. G. Wells, Rudyard Kipling, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, George Bernard Shaw, etc.

How twisted was the guy? I wonder what was going on in his head when he was writing the B.F.G or Charlie and the Chocolate factory? Was Willy Wonka (GOD! He's called "willy!" How could I miss that??) really a Michael Jackson of the past? Was the B.F.G. really a pedophile peeping into little girls rooms when they were asleep? Was George really making an aphrodisiac in "George's Marvellous Medicine? I shall never look at his books the same way again.

Of Green Men Rescuing Cats.

Hulk Smash!

HULK CRUSH PUNY SPIDER!

RWWAAARRRR

That is possibly the entire vocabulary the Hulk has, according to Stan Lee. He's violent, has anger issues, and can destroy an entire city if he wants to.

Ladies and Gents. Feast your eyes on the gentle giant. "Hulk the Hero"

Now, tell me, what in hell did was the author of the book thinking? Oh look! Bruce Banner sees a kitty stuck in a tree. He tells a random passerby to punch him repeatedly in the crotch. Bruce gets angry, turns into the Hulk, smashes a couple of cars, then rips the tree (with the cat in it) and throws it across the street. calms down and turns back into Bruce Banner and helps the kitty. So, Hulk smashed a million dollar's worth of property and injured countless people, just to save a kitty.?

They ruined a violent hero by showing his soft side. I wonder if Batman would ever save a cat. Probably he'll fly his Bat-Glider up to the tree, and harpoon the branch, tow it in, and then land the glider on some poor soul's car.

Of Squeaky Witches and Nokta Phones

Sunday Bazaar is like heaven for anyone who wants to shop in a budget. You get almost anything there, like books, stationery, crockery, cloth, decorations, furniture, etc. And all is reasonably priced too.

What I love about Sunday Bazaar is the Rs. 10/- Stalls. I mean you can get pretty much anything there; knives, hair ornaments, elastic, machine oil, and the weird stuff! The Weird Stuff is the heart of the Rs. 10/- Stall. You get the world most adorable keychains, games, puzzles etc.

These two are self explanatory. I did find a wristwatch like roulette wheel. Will be uploading its picture the next time I go to Sunday Bazaar.

I talk about nonsense..... don't I?
