Of Thought Provoking Discussions over Manly Drinks

I was out meeting Shahrukh today. It was fun.

We discussed a lot of important issues (which gave me ideas for new rants) over a couple of strawberry milkshakes.

For the time being, he tells me that a shop (more like a stall) in the Forum, sells personalized bath towels.

I took a picture of one that made me crack up... lemme check if the pic came out all right.

. . . . . .

Okay, It didn't. Taking pics with a camera phone on a moving escalator isn't much fun, not to mention that if your timing is off by even a fraction of a second, the pic comes out blurry.

So anyways, it said "Miss Truckwala" to which I thought, "gives a whole new meaning to Junk in the Trunk" and I laughed.

I didn't sleep much last night.

Anyways. Here's the paper craft I made. It's just the head mind you, the arms, body legs and tail still need to be folded and glued.

4Chan is fun. :D

Of The Fear of Walking Down The Road

I love to walk. And like most guys living in Karachi, I'm not scared to step out of my front door. Fine, we have muggers, and pathan I-touch-your-ass-in-the-bus people, but that's it. We also have illiterate drivers (may they be 30 year old men or 14 year old kids on dope) who think that traffic rules are for sissies, or idiots who think that the road is their personal driveway.

I'm scared, because of the way everything that's constructed these days. I mean, it rains for three hours, and an 8 story building collapses. At the first drop of rain, the electric feeders (whatever the hell they are - I imagine them to be giant baby bottles filled with electricity) trip, wires snap, transformers burn out.

Have you ever walked in close proximity to a pylon? the snapping and crackling is very un-nerving. Walking near a pylon is the only time when I don't wish for a cool breeze to blow because it's hot.

You never know, the breeze turns into a gust and the wires snap and land in a puddle created by the overflowing gutter and you who are walking near it trying to avoid the oncoming traffic, gutter-water splashes from the oncoming traffic, and the gutter water itself, get electrocuted.

That is scary.

Of I Neglect Yew!

Well, technically I am not neglecting anyone.

See, on Sunday, I was browsing 4Chan.org's /po/ thread. They have a huge resource of papercraft and origami, well mostly the former. Papercraft is basically sheets of paper cut into shapes and stuck to each other to make a model. It lacks all the elegance of Origami.

Still, I saw this amazing model and I just had to make it. So I started printing the template, halfway through the night, I realised that it'll look better in Green. So i scrapped everything and printed it on green paper.

In the morning I had to go to school for some work. Then when I came home, I literally inhaled a double plate of biryani (This one was awesome!!) and then I felt like I was going to die, so I told Shani to pass on a couple of messages if I did die.

Evening, I broke half of my premolar. I brush everyday, twice a day. I felt like suing Colgate and smashing a clam shell with their faces.

Yesterday, I had an appointment with a dentist, but the guy called in sick, so I couldn't go. Hence I sat home and cut out my papercraft.

Today I just came back from the dentist's and tho my head hurts, from walking all the way home, I thought I'd update my blog before I go to sleep. As it is, the only thing keeping me up is Iron Maiden blaring into my head.

I'll post something rant worthy later. Cheers.

Of Too Tired To Write

I have to get up early tomorrow and go to school to lend a hand.

I came across a site called Haboo.co.uk. That site is as fucked up as Bebo, or maybe even more.

I'll elaborate when I get back home.

Cheers

P.S. Yes Xeb(unnissah?) I do read your blog, once in a blue moon. Will do so more frequently now.

Anyone else feel like promoting their blog. Go right ahead.

And, gimme a good pointless emo blog to make fun of.
